Lagerkollen
A custom stock-management system built for a real bar operation, where manual inventory tracking was slow, error-prone, and disconnected from purchasing decisions.
C#.NETBarcode ScanningSQLInternal
Background
Lagerkollen was built out of a real operational problem: manual inventory tracking at a busy bar was slow, error-prone, and disconnected from purchasing decisions. I designed and built a system that introduced bottle scanning during bar refills, enabling real-time stock updates without disrupting workflows. The result was accurate inventory data, fewer over-orders, and a clear audit trail — replacing guesswork with structured, reliable data.
How it works
- 01Bottles are scanned during bar refills, so stock counts update as part of the normal workflow instead of a separate task.
- 02Each scan feeds a live inventory count, replacing periodic manual stock-takes.
- 03Purchasing decisions draw on real-time data and a complete audit trail of every movement.
Outcome
- Accurate, real-time stock data
- Fewer manual errors and over-orders
- A clear audit trail instead of guesswork
